Delphi was originally a subsidiary of General Motors. On May 28th, 1999, Delphi officially separated from General Motors and became a completely independent company publicly listed on the new york Stock Exchange. Headquartered in the United States, it is the world's largest automotive wiring harness system manufacturer and a Fortune 500 enterprise. Its products include General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Renault and Volkswagen. It has 176 wholly-owned manufacturing plants, 42 joint ventures, 53 customer service centers and sales representative offices in 41 countries, and 11 production enterprises in China.
At the end of 2017, Delphi was split into Aptiv and Delphi Technologies, both of which were listed independently. Aptiv adopts leading manufacturing technology and all-round service to design and produce high-performance and cost-effective connection systems, providing ready-made or customized designs. Delphi designs, manufactures, assembles, verifies and delivers electrical/electronic connection products to meet customers' strict manufacturing and performance requirements.
